Overview of the Blogsite

A league of Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Biology students of Mindanao State University made a blog site named "maccused". It is the combination of the first letter of the surnames of the members. This blog discusses all about the world of Biomes, its definition, classifications (Terrestrial biome and Aquatic biomes) and examples of biomes under its classifications (Savannah, Tundra, Taiga, Chaparral, Desert, Temperate rainforest, Tropical rainforest, marine biomes and freshwater biomes). The group decided to have this kind of topic for their blog because it’s interesting and it is in lined in their area of specialization in teaching, which is Biology.

In this blog site, each of the members of the group has their own task to do for the completion of the whole blog site which also develops their skills, creativity and wider imagination.

The team used blogging as the medium of sharing and discussing the said topic because, as future teachers, we are now adapting the 21^st century school teaching. It means that we are now have this modernization of the teaching and learning process. Application of technology is greatly used.

This blog site contains the title of the blog, objectives of the topic, scope of the topic, methodology of the topic, schedule of activity, different collages of the topic and photos of the members of the team, videos of the demonstration teaching of the members of the team, a topical video, downloaded videos for each topic, articles for the different topics, some trivia about the topic, self made educational games and adapted educational games which are related to the topic, significance of the activity to the topic, biography of the members of the team, reflections of the team regarding the blogging activity and the documentations while conducting the activity.

I’m PRIJ or Mary Prigilyn T. Aquino in real life, 19 years of age. I have a pure Filipino blood and values. I’m the eldest of the three gifted angels of my parents who are Bernardo Aquino, a Bicolano, and Priscilla Aquino, a Cebuana. I currently live in General Santos City, the Tuna Capital of the Philippines. I’m currently taking up my third year in college with a course of Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Biology in Mindanao State University-General Santos City.

Yes! My course is all about teaching. I"m a Ma'am then.

I am Regel Ann Lontiong Dakingking, popularly known as “Babez” or “Rej”. I am here enjoying my life in this world for 19 years. I am a daughter of Mr. Felipe Dakingking and Mrs. LeilanieDakingking who are both teachers. I am the eldest daughter and having 2 brothers who are Mark Denver and Goldimerand 1 sister named Jezza. Rosas, Poblacion, Lake Sebu, South Cotabato is where our home located. I am now a third 3^rd year student taking up Basic Secondary Education major in Biology (BSEd-Biology) at Mindanao State University –General Santos. I am currently staying at White House in Zone 1, Block 3 Fatima General Santos with a monthly bills since our home is very far from school.

What you will be in the future depends largely on how you make weakness your strength; distress, courage and failure a success. Opportunities will be knocking at your doorsteps once or twice and don’t let any of these pass your way without having a grip of it.

I am just a simple type of girl with simple outlook in life. I want to graduate with a real diploma. All in all I just want to have a happy life with less worry and can easily cope up and find solution to any problem that will come my way. Now, my course is in line with education and so with my future occupation a _teacher_. Learning still continues as I grow old and older finding answers to all the queries I have in my life. My quest for real life continues.

I am Jared June C. Casabuena 19 years of age and currently taking up BSed Biology. I was born at Sto. Niño South Cotabato on the 30^th of June 1991. I have 3 siblings and I was first child of my parents. My mothers name is Ma. Erwin C. Casabuena and my fathers name is Sunny C. Casabuena. My mother was a teacher at Fatima National High School and my father was a Pastor. We are living in Purok 16 Blk. 1 Brgy. Fatima General Santos City. I love watching movies and animated cartoons and I love to sing sometimes, actually I am a member of Mindanao State University choral for almost 2 years. My past time are to paint natures and whatever I interested, sometimes I draw also anime character and sketch my crushes when I’m inspired. I love also to play basketball, volleyball, table tennis and badminton.

Actually I graduated from General Santos City High School and I enrolled in Special Program in the Arts, and my specialization is visual arts. In elementary I graduated from Fatima Central Elementary School. When I was in kinder I graduated from Tandag Pilot Elementary School in Surigao Del Sur. I strive in my academics and I am always in the honor rolls since kinder but when I’m in fourth year high school I fail to enter in the honor list.

Life is full of suffering, sadness, hatred and all of those things I successfully overcome. I started my studies at Mountain View Kinder School in Kinayao Bagumbayan Sultan Kudarat. After that we transfer to Surigao Del Sur were did I finish my Kinder School. I pursue my studies in elementary in Iloilo City from grade 1 to grade 3, and we transfer again here in Gensan. It is because to the work of my father, he is pioneering and planting churches in every place where the mission did they assigned us. Since I was in my younger age I already experience a lot in mingling with other people. We have to change and adopt our environment in order for us to survive. Travelling from one place to another gave me a lot of views in life. We must first observe their culture so that we could not do anything that may cause their anger. Studying the behavior and attitudes of people was my hobby since then. I always observe them and try to evaluate what kind of people they are so that I could not render anything that may offend them. I actually learn to do it since we started to move into places. Different places have their different cultures, belief and traditions that are what I’ve learn and mingling with different people gave me a wider acceptance of the differences of every person. This affects my views in life. 

I am Monique Jade D. Salisipan, a 19 year old third year Bachelor of secondary Education major in Biology female student. I am a daughter of Mr. Osman S. Salisipan and Mrs. Wilsie D. Salisipan. I am the only daughter of my parents. I am living at Pangyan, Glan, Sarangani Province. I am currently studying at Mindanao state University-Fatima, General Santos City. I like to eat French fries and spaghetti. My favorite colors are pink, black and white. I love Harry potter, Vampire diaries and Twilight series. I like Taylor Swift and Britney Spears as a singers and Nina Dobrev as an actress. For local artists, I like sarah Geronimo as a singer and Angel Locsin as an actress. 

I am interested to explore and learn more about technologies because I do believe that someday we will be dependent enough to technologies whether we like it or not. This knowledge that I have right now will be very useful someday if I will be a teacher already wherein I must impart knowledge to them. This knowledge is very important for them to have wider scope of awareness around them, to the surrounding that they are living. So I think EdTech is a must-enrolled subject for future teachers because this will help them a lot so that they will become and effective and well prepared facilitators.

Im Kristine Joy G. Cuervo, 18 years of age, and studying at Mindanao State University in the course of BSEd Biology, 3^rd year. I am a pastor’s kid, I had only one brother named Jed Cuervo, he is 17 years old and also studying at the same university that I ‘ve been enrolled.

My father is Mr. Jonathan Cuervo and my mother is Mrs. Josephine Cuervo, they are both 48 years old. I am a Baptist and as an affiliation in life, I am a Sunday’s school teacher as well as church pianist. We are living originally at Conel, General Santos City and our church is located there too, but as of now, we are staying at Laurel east, General Santos City due to inevitable circumstances such as the distance from home to school.

I am Redan Llait Elipongga 23 years of age and currently taking up BSed Biology. I was born at Bo.2 San Miguel Norala South Cotabato on the 13^th day of April 1987. I have 5 siblings namely Romel Elipongga, Ramela Elipongga,Norly Elipongga and Estr Jot Elipongga. And I was the fourth child of my parents. My Father’s name is Rodulfo Elezares Elipongga and my Mother’s name is Milagros Llait Elipongga. My father is a Barber and my mother is a Balut Maker. We are living in Bo.2 San Miguel, San Miguel Norala South Cotabato. I love to stroll around with my friend and to have food trips.

I take up my kinder stage at San Miguel Foursquare Learning Center, my Elementary level at San Miguel Elementary School and my Secondary years at San Miguel National High School, all in San Miguel Norala South Cotabato. With regards to my academic achievements, since I was in my Kindergarten up to my secondary level I always belong to top 10 honor students. I always represent our school with regards to Science Quiz Bowl and in my Field Dancing. I reach many Schools just because of dancing. I already Choreograph Dances and since High School. And my latest achievements in Dancing are when we represent MSU and the whole Southern Mindanao in the National Cheer dancing Championship held in manila, Philippines.

In my life, I have already experience many problems and struggles. And I do believe that it is all God’s Plan and will. I experience losing my two sisters. When I was Grade four my closest sister Die. And our older sister also Die, I don’t even saw her personally all I have is picture. Financial instability, family problems and many more, I all experience it, the ups and downs of life that gives spice to living.
